Are there guides? There is an orientation when you arrive and our knowledgeable guide will tell the tale of Skytsborg tower and the legendary pirate Blackbeard. After this, it is a self guided tour with tour guides located throughout to answer any questions.
Can we arrive by taxi? YES, hop onto any taxi and head downtown. It is approximately $5.00 per person from either pier.
Is there a lot of walking involved? The walking tour is downhill and contains several areas where there are steps and some uneven surfaces. it is moderate difficulty. It is not recommended for people with walking disabilities or for those who have trouble descending stairs.
Is it wheelchair accessible? The only portion of the tour that is wheelchair accessible is at the entrance in the courtyard area where Skytsborg tower and Blackbeard’s statue are located. The top of the tower view is not wheelchair accessible.
